However, many people throughout history can claim some credit for helping the convoy systems evolve and become more efficient.<\/p><p>For example, the American manufacturer and inventor Thomas Robins in 1892 designed a conveyor system capable of transporting coal and oreMilling Company by Thomas Edison. His invention won first prize at the World Exhibition in Paris and continued to revolutionize the mining industry.<\/p><p>Another noteworthy pioneer in the history of conveying systems is none other than the famous car manufacturer Henry Ford. In 1913 he introduced the conveyor belt on the assembly line of the Michigan factory, continuously improving the technology.
