Types of picking solutions

Warehouse picking is the selection and picking of materials contained in different loading units,
with the goal of preparing the order intended then for shipment.

Picking solutions include put-to-light and pick-to-light systems. They perform opposite functions to each other, although both are characterized by the use of luminous devices. Often the two picking solutions are complementary to each other and can be chosen based on racking and merchandise type.

Pick to light

The Pick to Light system guides operators through the picking process by indicating the location of items and the quantity needed to be picked to complete an order.

Put to light

Inversely from pick-to-light, the put-to-light system tells operators where to place goods and in what quantity.
